Municipal memberships are an important way to help residents protect and increase your town’s tree canopy. This program provides value to residents and shows commitment to protecting and growing your community tree canopy.

“Ask An Arborist” Feature for Residents
Your residents have questions about their trees, and ReLeaf Michigan is here to provide answers. With a dedicated page for each community on our website (for example, "www.releafmichigan.org/Detroit"), your residents can submit questions about their trees and receive answers from arborists and tree experts who work with ReLeaf Michigan.
Educational Resources
Residents have the option to sign up for our monthly eNewsletters, featuring timely tips and tricks for how to care for their
trees and information about why trees create value for the community. Additionally, a variety of resources are available to
residents on our website, such as a Pocket Guide to Planting Trees or instructional videos.
Annual Presentation / Webinar
Once a year, a tree expert from ReLeaf Michigan will offer an in‐person or online presentation on a topic of your choice. To learn more about the options of presentations we have available, see the list on our website.
Tree City Application Assistance
Being a Tree City is a symbol of pride for your community. ReLeaf Michigan is familiar with the process and requirements, and we can help you with the application process. Plus, your Municipal Membership fee counts towards
the $2 per capita Tree City requirement.
Consultation Services Also Available
If you have a project that requires in‐person consultation, ReLeaf Michigan’s experts are available to meet and consult with you for an additional fee.
