Free Tree Giveaway in Bay City We’re excited to announce that (400) 3-gallon trees (approx. 1-3 ft tall) will be distributed to Michigan residents free-of-charge in Bay City on 04/18/2026 along with tree planting and care educational materials! This is your chance to give a tree a good home, beautify your yard, and help our community grow greener. We are also in need of volunteers to help pass out these trees to neighbors—your support makes all the difference! If you’d like to lend a hand, please RVSP to volunteer with the tree delivery on Friday 04/17 here, and sign up to help pass out trees during the giveaway event on Sat 04/18 here. Lorain St. An Urban Tree Canopy Assessment performed by project partners from Davey Resource Group identified the planting area as a priority for stormwater management benefits. Tree Planting in Milan
Join us to plant 40 trees at Wilson Park, Milan Middle School, and Milan Nature Park in Milan. This is a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative tree planting project funded by the US Forest Service. In addition to the GLRI mission, the community is planting trees to increase crown cover, support the watershed environment, provide shade, and replace trees lost to insects and disease.
