Arts Beats and Eats Sign Up

It’s that time of the year again as we get ready to volunteer at another Arts, Beats, and Eats festival!
Dates are
Friday, August 29th through Monday, September 1st.

Thank you all for the many ways you have lent your support!

We volunteer at the Arts, Beats, and Eats festival in Royal Oak to raise money by staffing a beverage booth. Last year, 2024, we raised nearly $7,500, almost reaching our previous target of $8,000. We earn 8% on the drink sales and get 100% of the tips at our booth. So every sale you make and every tip/donation you get goes a long way. This year we are stretching our target in hopes of raising $10,000. This goal is achievable, but only with your support! (Survey and signup at the end.)

These volunteer events are always a lot of fun, but also require a lot of hard work. Based on the feedback we have received from everyone, we’ve already started to make some improvements. We really want to make your volunteer experience the best it can be!

We’re excited to share a few key changes we have made focused on bettering your overall experience:

 In-person ReLeaf Michigan Orientation
Attendance is optional; Pizza and soda provided
A chance to win tickets to our annual  TreeTacular
For every shift you show up for, you get entered for a chance to win two tickets for you and a guest to join us. We draw a winner for each of the four days of the festival. Four winners, eight tickets given away!
Shorter shift times
4-5 hours
Shifts overlap by 1 hour
To compensate for transferring roles and unexpected travel delays
Buddying up for closing shifts
It’s never fun closing by yourself
If you can’t recruit a buddy, we’ll try to organize extra help during those closing times

Below is an example of what a daily schedule might look like:

If you’d like to participate in this year’s Arts, Beats, and Eats event, please fill out the survey below to give us a sense of how you would like to lend your support.

Any kind of help is always welcome. No experience necessary!

Filling out this survey will help us greatly!

On Friday, August 8th, we will send out an email asking what shifts you are available for, t-shirt size, etc. This will be your first opportunity to secure the shift time(s) and day(s) you want. We will have a volunteer orientation hosted by ReLeaf Michigan. This is a time for all the volunteers to get together and ask questions. We will also hand out volunteer t-shirts, festival wristbands, and parking passes! Details still need to be finalized, but we plan to provide pizza and beers. Orientation attendance is not mandatory.

Festival dates are Friday, August 29th, through Monday, September 1st.

This event is located in downtown Royal Oak.

We are looking forward to seeing you all. Let’s make this another successful volunteering event!
