About the Planting
In this planting ReLeaf Michigan, Leelanau County, the Leelanau Conservation District, and the DTE Energy Foundation planted 20 trees at Veronica Valley County Park in Lake Leelanau on Friday, May 16th. These trees are a part of an effort to turn an old golf course into a natural space and increase species and age diversity with native trees. About the DTE Energy Foundation

As of spring 2025 when this planting occurred, ReLeaf Michigan had planted over 33,500 trees in 700+ communities throughout Michigan. and, through community workshops, increased awareness of the important benefits trees provide. Our communities are stronger when they are greener. People are healthier, the air is cleaner, infrastructure is more efficient, and the economy is stronger with trees. |
